Visiting an institution in Padua!!

Fresh fruit juices were wonderful. Service is excellent but you get what you paid for as a fancy cafe is not economical!!

This is probably the oldest coffeehouse in Europe and it has no doors, working 24/7. The architecture is bewildering and the ambient environment is great, but you pay a big pile for all of those nice things.

We got the full Pedrocchi experience by having lunch here inside, but if having coffee only use the outside portico rather than the cafeteria like interior. The you will be in the Roman-like structure that speaks of the cafe's age (not Roman...1831). Ghe hamburger was huge, and meat may be a little undercooked, but teh quality shined. The chips were... Unfortunately this beautifully situated venue with a magnificent old interior has fallen into the trap of mediocrity of quality of food and trades off its good name and history without delivering. And please avoid the house speciality coffee at €5 a cup, which is basically an espresso with a dollop of thick 'cold' thick cream thrown on top. It spoils... More

I had breakfast with a few friends at Caffe Pedrocchi. We enjoyed our coffees and brioches in the lovely outdoor area. The Caffe is quite large, modern and spacious.

We tried the cafe Pedrocchi specialty coffee. It's espresso with mint and cococa on top. They say, no need to stir but I found it too strong, although stirring though against their recommendation, improved the taste. Nevertheless, it's worth the experience, it's the oldest coffee shop in Padova after all.

There is much history and importance to this restaurant and you can feel free to just go for a coffee, eat a meal or just sit (in the front room without ordering anything). It has been in existence since the early 1830's. We enjoyed a pasta lunch and ended our meal with the signature caffe Pedrocchi, a minty espresso served... More

Beautiful and historic coffeehouse right in the middle of everything in Padua. Have a Kaffe Pedrocci with mint! Sit outside if the weather is fair.
