Burano was the Island we enjoyed the most Colourful fishermans houses quaint little streets Much cheaper than mainland venice well worth a visit. Murano was nice but emphasis was on the glass factory which was very expensive pretty exhibition of murano glass though

If you're in Venice then I highly recommend taking half day tour of Murano, Burano and Torcello. They will also take you to glass factory where you will see how things are created out of blowing glass. The museum/ gift shop of the glass museum...More
