This museum demonstrates what you can do with a lot of time and a whole lot of money. Ms. Guggenheim's collection is impressive - and I do not really like modern art. Her home has been turned into a beautiful gallery. It is worth the...More

Loved it then....20 years ago and still love it now. They've added to her collection and it really is a remarkable collection of one woman's taste. We were lucky enough to see the Picasso's bathers exhibition. Although only 3 paintings they were nonetheless fantastic. Would...More

This is an excellent collection of some of the greatest artists of the 20th century. This is a small museum, I would recommend going on a weekday to avoid weekend crowds. There is another great modern art museum nearby at Dogna point.

Right on the Canal Grande! What a location...for some of the most wonderful creativity in the world. The pieces are either something you love or hate; not too much middle ground, I suspect. But I loved the architecture, and the stunning location. You can arrive...More

The beauty of this modern art collection was strengthened by the way it was presented in the beautiful rooms in Peggy Guggenheim's home. The audio guide was extremely well done and added the context to the life of Peggy as a fascinating, self-determined woman.

This wonderful art collection shouldn't be missed by any visitor to Venice. The art is displayed in plenty of space and you are unlikely to be berated for taking your own photographs.

Love, love, love this museum... as much as the first time I saw it nearly 20 (!) years ago. Palazzo is amazing, Kansinskys are to die for, there are not enough adjectives to describe how much I adore this place. Highly, highly recommend!

Peggy made us fall in love with Very modern unlikable art...because we saw it thru her eyes. The best cafe lunch in Venice is hidden in her garden. But beware - there is a very strong chemical smell in the area during the high sun/hot...More

Venice is fun chaos. The Guggenheim was an oasis of calm beauty. The art and setting are spectacular. The story of Peggy's life, with all her art friends, her amazing collection of art and seeing this fantastic museum was by far my favorite event in...More
