If you are knowledgeable about chamber music do not go to this concert. A waste of money. Vivaldi's Four Seasons was played like they were racing to the end. The first violin had no tone because he was playing so fast (and perhaps an inferior...More

This church, which is nearly on the site of Vivaldi's church, is a great host for the orchestra I Virtuosi Italiani. The concert of primarily the Four Seasons, started promptly at 8.30 and finished at 9.30 - the perfect length of time for after-dinner digestion,...More

This church is impressive more for its height and its massive classical front facade seen from the canal. It's fairly plain baroque inside and so doesn't get masses of visitors but it's important for several reasons. Firstly this was an institution which took young women...More

We visited this church to enjoy a performance of Vivaldi's Four seasons. It was fantastic. The tickets were reasonably priced too. Great evening . Very close to St Marks Square so easy to get to.

Vivaldi's music seems ever present for tourists in Venice. But for us, the goal was to attend a performance of Vivaldi's music in 'his' church. And we achieved it... gorgeous acoustics and a beautiful atmosphere. If the music itself, performed by I Virtuosi Italiani, was...More

A short concert of Mozart and Vivaldi in the church where Vivaldi was priest and choirmaster to the Orphans (all girls). The acoustics were great even though the seats were a little hard but hey, this is a church...and a beautiful one at that. I...More

Don't miss the Vivaldi concert in this church (Virtuosi Italian orchestra). The church is beautiful and full of history.

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri

one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime
