Very worthwhile if you're interested in typewriters or the architect, Carla Scarpa, as it's a beautifully designed building. However, the museum is quite small and there is not that much to see for the price of the ticket.

The old typewriters in the window captured my attention and brought back memories of first lessons in touch typing. Olivetti was one the big names then. This is a tiny museum dedicated to the world of Olivetti. The information on the wall said the museum...More

When I went, there was an exhibition showcasing Olivetti's influence on modern offices with their modular office furniture. But the main attraction is the building interior itself.

Interesting little gallery just off St Marks square. Its quite the contrast sat in among 16th century architecture. The space is pleasant to walk around and the design is appealing. Its not everyone's cup of tea though but fans of Scarpa's work will love it

This is a great spot to witness the work of Carlos Scarpa. It's a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of San Marco and you can time travel into the mid-20th century. Elegant workmanship. A must for architecture students.

This space with its modern design (vintage 1960) provides indeed an interesting contrast with the 16th Century building in which it is located. It does display vintage Olivetti typewriters and adding machines in its windows. If their sleek design appeals to you, then spend the...More

A very interesting mid-century modern space designed by Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa in great contrast to the byzantine and gothic styles that abound in the city, and a quiet place in the midst of the madness of Saint Mark's Square. A small entrance fee but...More

stunning and quirky architecture which contrasts with the rest of the square and a collection of Olivetti business machines and typewriters which casts the mind back. Reciprocal free entry for members of the National Trust so a winner all round.

5 euro entrance fee plus 3 euro for taking photos or doing sketches for visitors who were over 25 years old. ridiculous for such a small shop. although it was a master piece by Carlo Scarpa, it was still not worth such price. the extra...More

This is a lovely example of Scarpa's work for Olivetti right of the Piazza San Marco with wonderful details and materials. There's a significant entrance fee, but if you're interested in architecture and design, it's definitely worth a visit!
