Really enjoyed this experience. I took my boyfriend as part of his Christmas present and it was fabulous. Really well organized, perfect running time and atmosphere was fabulous. The group are fab and so no wonder they travel around the world. Love Vivaldi, love them, love Venice!!! Thank you!! Also due to there being no nightlife in Venice, this makes... More

The concert is held in an old church. It is an easy walk from the St. Mark's Square area. Note that the location at the Church of San Vidal, San Marco is NOT St. Mark's Square. The are a number of restaurants in the immediate area and on the way there. Even in the latter part of November, the concert... More

I'll be completely honest: There is not a ton to do in Venice at night in the winter. Last time I checked, there are not a ton of bars and discos open at night, so if you are looking for a wonderful evening out, consider this! Lovely acoustics in a beautiful old church--what a great way to end a day... More

We had tickets on December 27 for the Vivaldi Four Seasons. Spring season was executed poorly with false notes and all. Some people left during this part. Different violin player took over for the other seasons, with much better results. I had the impression half the musicians were on leave. Ambiance is good.

We purchased our tickets from our hotel,we noticed that they were also sold at the music museum. We arrived 25 mins early as the seating is not allocated and it was getting very busy then. Our performance was of Vivaldi Four Seasons and was expertly played by gracious musicians. The church was a nice location for the concert with great... More

Great evening out. Stunning and magical to sit in a historic church and listen to music. Small intimate setting and better than a huge concert hall

I am still reeling from an astonishingly unpleasant incident on Christmas Day. I went to the evening Vivaldi concert with 3 friends as part of what was a great treat to ourselves at the end of a very difficult year. I am a musician and a teacher of young adults. All four of us have spent our entire careers in... More

There is no better group to hear Vivaldi and no better place to see and hear a Vivaldi concert than by Interpreti Veneziani in Venice. The venue is Chiesa San Vidal, very close to the Accademia vaporetto stop. It was once a church but is now a concert hall, and it is a gorgeous place for a Vivaldi concert by... More

We purposely chose a performance other than Vivaldi's Four Seasons having heard it many, many times. There were several concerti by Vivaldi, of course, being Venezia's favored son, as it were, as well as Bach and Torelli. Held in the Chiesa di San Vidal, this is the way these compositions were meant to be heard when they were written. Compliments... More

We pre booked our tickets for this concert and so happy we did.....what a lovely evening. All the chaps playing had fantastic skill and I was brought to tears once or twice. You should do something like this when in Venice and this was a pleasure!

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
