Church is a fine combination of an old building, restored and modernized in 16. century church. It is near the central part of Venice and far enough to be more peaceful than some too popular places. Brick façade is not as interesting as the interior.

Chiesa di San Giovanni in Bragora is quite an interesting church, as long as you enjoy looking at churches. Established in the 8th century, it has had a few remakes and it holds some nice works of religious art. Not very remarkable from the outside,...More

We stumbled on this square while walking the streets in Venice. How excited we were when we saw this church and the courtyard it is in. Local kids with their Moms and Nonnas playing all around.

This lovely, well-proportioned church is definitely worth a visit. It is not open all day so make sure to check the hours before counting on seeing it. The Cima inside is filled with light and you could spend some time studying it. The small square...More

It is interesting to find and see this church as it has different design from the usual Venetian style. You may find few similar designs in the city.

Simplicyty often is synonimus to genius. This cannot be more true than for this modest looking and simple chuch, For anyone such as myself passionate about classical music and particularly found of te baroque style this is where the story begins. This is where Antonio...More
