I visited Torcello in winter after doing a trip out to Burano, I was one of the very few on the island in the late morning. I purchased a pass for all three sites on the island which was definitely worth it, even with the...More

We did this tour with a group of friends and had a great time while doing it. We visited Murano and Burano, too, however the Torcello island was the highlight of our trip. Not only the atmosphere on the island was serene and inspiring, but...More

We took the ferry from Burano over to Torcello. It was very quiet and we enjoyed a lovely stroll along the canal to the church. We passed the devils bridge on the way and several bars/restaurants. The church is beautiful and the island is so...More

This island has a church which is worth seeing. The church is quiet and beautiful inside. We sat inside and meditated. There is good architecture inside. Quiet place.

Quiet and slower paced island, which is worth a visit if you have time, if only to visit the basilica. There are few islanders and visitors are not so numerous. The mosaics in the basilica are rated amongst the top ten sights.

The first time I visited Venice was in 2011 when I went there at the start of a cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean with my wife and mother-in-law. While our time in Venice on that occasion was limited, I did research and found a number...More

Torcello is where settlement in the Venetian lagoon started, but it has morphed into a lovely bucolic island with a wonderful basilica started in the 7th century, making this island (close to Burano) well worth visiting (on a regular vaparetto route). There are not that...More

Water bus number 12 usually runs from Fodemante Nove (Venice) to burano murano and torcello, each island is worth visiting.
