Hi! We are Rossana and Federica. We’ve been local guides here in Venice for several years now and we really love what we do, especially meeting new people from other parts of the world and showing our Venice from an insider's point of view. Not only important monuments and museums but also little alleyways picturesque squares where you get in touch with everyday life that in this water town may sound a very special way of living. Since we have kids of our own, we particularly enjoy offering guided tours and scavenger hunts to families with kids!

Family 5 adults, two children aged 5 and 7. Federica took us on two tours, The Marco Polo Scavenger Hunt, and the Doge's Palace tour with St. Marco's Basilica added on as an extra. Federica was simply fantastic. Being Venetian herself she has a total passion for city and that comes across. Incredibly knowledgeable about everything, she is enormous fun, her English is excellent and nothing was to much trouble. In short a superb guide. The tours are advertised as children's tours, but in fact they are just as much for adults as for younger people. While keeping my little granddaughters engaged by finding things on their hunt maps, earning stickers and that final promised prize and learning a lot of things too (as did we) we five adults also inundated her with questions about Venice. These were not necessarily within the confines of the tour titles either, but her answers were all promptly answered, often accompanied by a look at relevant photos or diagrams which she showed us. Federica is truly a mine of fascinating information. Not only that, she also directed us to a place near St Marco's piazza serving a wonderful cicchetti lunch after the tour, where in her words "the locals go". As someone who lives in Rome, I know how much this information is invaluable in a tourist town. To be able to find a place serving "the real deal" food, at local as opposed to blown up tourist prices was a real bonus. I thoroughly recommend these tours for children aged from 5 - 70 :)

A fun way to learn about Venetian history

We did two tours with Federica - both scavenger hunts - the footsteps of Marco Polo and the Doges Palace tour. We really enjoyed the tours and Federica shared lots of interesting facts and information. I felt like my husband and I learnt a lot as well as the kids. Venice was our last stop after 3 weeks travel around Italy so my kids weren't as engaged and a bit tired but we all still enjoyed it. Thanks Federica!

Marco Polo Scavenger Hunt Tour

Rossana was very nice and engaging with my 8-year-old daughter, who enjoyed the activity. We picked the Marco Polo tour, but I think we would have liked the tour that goes through the Doges Palace more and may have learned more about Venice that way! Overall, I do recommend Rossana and her company.

Amazing tour!

We took two tours on our Venice trip! Both Rosanna and Frederica were phenomenal. They were engaging, had great facts, and were perfect for both the kids and adults in our group. We have a new found appreciation for Venice’s history! I wish we could have brought them to every city we visited!

Venice kids tour

We took 2 amazing tours on our Venice trip: Marco Polo and Carnival Masks. Frederica was exceptional: attentive, energetic, enthusiastic, and very patient. Three kids, 12, 11, and 5 years old, were absolutely happy. They've loved the Carnival Mask tour, drawing "Mish-mash Carnival guest".

Scavenger hunt for kids around the Doge’s Palace

We booked a private tour with Federica around the Doge’s Palace for our kids aged 7 and 9. This consisted a 2 hour tour with a scavenger hunt around the Palace and prisons. Having a guide also allowed us to get direct access to all areas without having to queue.
The tour exceeded my expectations. Federica was lovely and engaging, and clearly a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. We also learnt as much as the kids who really enjoyed the experience. Having a guide really brought the museum to life and meant the kids did not get bored.
This was a fun format to learn and the prize at the end was a great finish. Thanks Frederica :-)

Perfect tour for kids and adults

Doge Palace tour - Found this tour online as was looking for something for both us and the kids to enjoy. Usually avoid guided tours as they can be overwhelming for the kids. This was perfect. Good info for the adults, but kept the kids engaged. Federica was lovely and very responsive. Would happily do another one of their tours again (we will make it back). We also got the Murano self guided scavenger hunt. Kids really enjoyed.

From the kids (10 and 12 years old) - one of the top 3 activities in Venice (also mask making in Top 3). enjoyed walking around and finding the clues. Very informative and made interesting for us (sometimes too much information). Just the right amount of info and saw many rooms which kept it interesting. our guide was so nice and answers many questions that we had about Venice. Loved seeing the dungeon and walking over the bridge (of sighs - we kept seeing it from outside - looked so different). Very interesting things we learned. Also liked the prize 🙂

Perfect family tour for teens & tweens in Venice

Our family of tweens, teens and adults LOVED the Venice Aces Tour! It was so educational and our kids had so much fun exploring & playing imaginative games that they didn’t realize just how much they were learning. Federica was super knowledgeable - she made everyone in the group feel comfortable & engaged. The adults loved the tour as well & even my father in law keeps raving about how impressive it was. Can’t say enough good things. Thank you Federica! I searched for months comparing tours & am so glad I was able to find you!

Wonderful tour of the Doge’s palace thru the storytelling of Venice Kids Tours

What a fantastic way to experience the Doge’s palace through the storytelling of The Magic Treehouse and our guide Federica bringing the adventure to life for our two young children. Federica took wonderful care of us, infusing fun and historical highlights into our 2-hour tour that flew by. I highly recommend her and Venice Kids Tours!

Fun Scavenger Hunt in the Doge’s Palace

Our kids (5 and 7) absolutely loved the tour with Federica. She is knowledgeable and wonderful with kids. The scavenger hunt was the perfect way to explore the Doge’s Palace. Would highly recommend booking with Venice Kids Tours when visiting the city with children. Grazie Federica!!
