I'm glad I ignored people who said a gondola ride is cheesy or overpriced. I thought it was great. You see so many things that you never would get to see just walking around. We cruised everywhere, from the Grand Canal to the bustling Giudecca...More

Unfortunately a visit to Venice would be incomplete without a gondola ride. I say unfortunate because it ain't cheap and though prices are published what you get for your Euros can vary. Lots of gondola service points around the city and marked by a small...More

We done or gondola at a peak time because with train times and thunder shower we couldn't choose, we ended up in a traffic jam of gondola's on the canal! I'd actually advise trying to visit venice at a quieter time of year also because...More

So let's face it: the gondola ride in Venice is mandatory. The boats in San Marco state the charges as €80 for 30mins or €120 for 45mins - but I advise you to time it, otherwise your 'long' trip might just costs the same as...More

So without riding a gondola, the venice trip is not completed. So we also did the same along with our walking tour which gave us pretty much useful information.

The tour on a Gondola is mandatory on this city. To save you some money avoid the main squares to pick one and if possible buy the ticket online. I saved about 30 euros like that

Not worth the money at all. Better to take a guided tour in the canal or city. Depending on where you take a gondola from you don't even see the best places.

The gondola ride does not need any guidance. You can get a map from the hotel n reach the starting point. After that you just enjoy the ride.
