In Venice you have a lot of 'churches' to choose from . Whether you are Christian religious or looking for the wonderful art in these buildings it does not matter. At the end of hot day these a wonderful artifices to venerated and enjoyed.

Stumbled onto this church by accident-so glad that we got lost or we would have never had the opportunity to see this magnificent place, by far my favorite church we visited. Most of the churches are only 2-3 euro to enter, I would have easily...More

This church is very big, and located right by the sea.It seems that most tourists don't get here for some reason - there are many things to see in Venice, but I still wouldn't miss this one - very big but with elegant lines, bright...More

You either must know about this church, or you just stumble across it in order to visit it! It is a bit out of the way of most tourists, except those who happen to be passing by .It has some very interesting works of art...More

Another beautiful church, and with a fascinating history. It was a stop on an architecture tour done by Context travel (which I would highly recommend doing). The sculptures and art is stunning.

We saw this church while on a Venice Free Walking Tour and it was lovely! Nice to visit because it is in a neighborhood, away from tourists, and of course, beautiful inside!

Slightly off the beaten track north of the main action, but so glad I went. Prepare to be amazed once you walk inside. The detail is incredible! What looks like fabric is in fact marble and stucco. Rococo at its tantalising best!

Do not forget to visit this beautiful and peaceful church. It is located in the middle of the quietest residential areas and if you venture out walking away from the crowded places, you will find it satisfying. Also, visit the local fruit shops close by.

Stumbled across this church and for a while we were the only ones in it , aside from the pleasant woman who was collecting the2e entrance fee. Well worth a visit to see some stunning designs and architecture away from the crowds. A couple of...More

Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many
transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying

bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution,
2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli

I am not sure about Sunday. You would need to check at the door of the church. Weekdays in the winter it was open in the mornings from 10-12 noon and in the afternoon from 2 pm until 5:30 pm.
