My partner and hus teenage son loved this beach, with beautiful soft sand. Interesting that Venice isn't really known for its beach, but we really enjoyed it. It's says "free beach" so that would imply that there are private beaches, but we didn't look for...More

I want this place for myself so stay away! Lido is beautiful and has a local population which makes it real. Only 30 minutes from Venice this island is perfect for a mix of historic sight seeing (Venice), the beach, shops and restaurants. One particular...More

There are kitesurfers surfing near swimmers. They do not mind even I told one of them there are swimmers here. He came back and surfed around me to yell at me. Above the danger of the kitesurfing near swimmers, I felt intimidated cause he showed...More

It's really refreshing to be away from the crowds in Venice for a bit and visit the beach. The main street was nice and quiet with restaurants and shops along the way. We went to the main public beach and it was lovely and not...More

We took the ferry which is situated near the Gondola station and the start of the canal. This took us across the water to Punta sabbioni where there is a bus station. You catch the bus to Lido from there.
