Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

5,014 reviews
This sightseeing tour allows you to see three islands in the Venetian Lagoon in half a day. Visitors often visit Murano—well-known for its glass-blowing factory—but fewer make it to Burano and Torcello, with their lace-making shops and ornate palaces and churches. The tour also offers two departure times a day, making it easier to fit into your schedule.

Vittorio is an amazing glass artist who specializes in insects, fish, birds, reptiles, etc. His work is sought out by museums in order to have examples of these beautiful creatures without having to kill and preserve them. His shop is located in the Cannaregio distict of Venice and can easily be missed as it is tiny but chock full of beautiful things to see and of course some are for purchase. Address of the shop is Calle del Fumo 5311. Just to even look at his display cabinet is to be amazed! A true Venetian treasure!

Mr. Costantini is a true master of lampwork glass figures. He specializes in insects and sea life. His insects are so lifelike, you wouldn't hesitate to brush them away thinking they are alive. The best part of visiting this shop is how patient Mr. Costantini and his wife are when they explain the process of turning glass rods into art for our children. We ALL love to watch him create his magic.

Found this wonderful craftsman by chance on our way to the water bus at F de Novo. His creations are exquisite. So fine and delicate, with the most beautiful colours. Vittorio clearly loves his work and his art and it shows. It felt like a privilege to be able to buy one of his birds, a blue tit, which now sits on my shelf next to other treasures by Lalique, Moorcroft and Lladro. He was such a delight to talk to and meet. So glad we found him and his fabulous shop.

Vittoria breathes life into his glass creations. The colors are vivid and true to life. They appear ready to scamper off into the brush, take flight or swim away. This is for serious collectors of fine glass art.

Wandered into this small, magical, off the beaten path shop many years and watched as Vittorio created amazing treasures out of magical rods of glass. My wife and I have since been back many times and Venice would not be the same without a visit to Vittorio and his lovely wife Graziella. Most items in the shop are not for sale as they are part of their personal collection. Vittorio has spent his life honing his craft and it's an honor to watch his mastery at work.
