My favorite church in Verona. It would be worth the visit just for the frescoes in the upper church. When you descend into the older church it's amazing and more older frescoes. We spent ages wandering around in here.

Standing near the river is the church of San Fermo. What makes it so interesting is that the 'top' church is in the baroque style while if you go downstairs, the lower church is in a much older, Romanesque style with frescoes dating from around...More

This church has a wonderful surprise in that it is two churches. The upstairs is wonderful with amazing frescoes. However little did I know that downstairs there is another church from the tenth century with stunning art, architecture and artifacts. Suggestion: Get the church pass...More

A simple church was built here in the 5th century. Then in the 10th century, it was razed to its foundations and another church was built. Some of the foundation is still view able. Then in the 12th century another church was built over the...More

A lovely visit - we were able to use the card which we had brought that allowed us to visit all four of the main churches in Verona. Before we entered the church we were able to look around at the art displays that had...More

Beautiful beamed ceiling, frescoes and very peaceful. It is worth looking for the "Roman" church, down the stairs, into an arcade, and through a glass door. Then, quite miraculously, here is the other church, quite beautiful in its simplicity, underneath.

This is a lovely church beautifully set back a little from the street with well-placed pots of selected plants and exotics, definitely a nice transition into the quiet church itself. Our only regret was we were there only 10 minutes when we gently informed the...More

It is well worth visiting as part of the 4 churches for 6 euros ticket. The ceiling is quite amazing, very different from all of the other churches in Verona.

This is worth a visit given you can get the ticket for the 4 churches for EUR 6. It is very nice inside but if you can, do it before the rest as if not it will not impress as much as it can.

Stumbled upon this church on our walkabout and really pleased we did! Nearly 900 years old and it's 2 churches in one - both very different to each other. Useful little leaflet ( in English) highlighting the key sights. There was a charge on admission...More
