Museum and art place, historic Palladio building, the place you must see in vicenza. There's the guided visit, cheap. On the top terase know's to be the bar and magnificent view onto the city and surroundings. Worth to come on top.

You have to pay an entrance fee to get access to the rooftop bar of the Basilica, but then you can visit the enterior of the building which has huge wooden roof that looks like a reversed boat (nice!).

The basilica is situated in Vicenza's piazza dei Signori. It is one of Andrea Palladio's masterpieces, an elegant building with two superimposed loggias. The ground one's columns are in the doric order style. the upper ones in the ionic. Supreme Renaissance style. Palladio's influence travelled from Vicenza to the rest of the world. This building defines Vicenza. It dominates the Piazza dei Signori and stands as a fine testament to its creator. We spent a lot of time in and around this building but the most exciting thing about it is the Terrazza di Vicenza. For five euros you can buy a ticket which gains access to the rooftop terrace of the building.... More

Best seen at night time! You can now go up on both the first and second floor of the Basilica and check out the amazingly unique views of the historic city centre.

This is an authentic Palladian designed building in the heart of Vicenza. If you compare it with Pallazo dela Reggione in Padua built in 1412 you can see what must have inspired Palladio who was born in Padua; they are not that dissimilar. It is in the main square and to one side is the statue of Palladio himself.

Just a spectacular building in line with many others in Northern Italy if not one of the best. Whichever direction you come into the square from you won't fail to be impressed by the stunning architecture and there's plenty of cafe's around to sit and admire it.
