Beautiful bridge with its peculiarity. It moves sometimes from 00.00 a.m. to 04:00 a.m. You must see it moving before leaving Taranto.

It’s a very nice and interesting bridge. The 2 half of the bridge are opening in horizontal line only for maintenance or to let the ships pass from one side to another. It opens once a month at the same hour (5 am). If you...More

It's a bridge! It swings open! You can walk across it! It's picturesque! Not a lot more to say about it!

Bridge is filled with heavy traffic and shakes under the strain. Combines the two parts of the city. Opens once a month. Used to have a sight lever mechanism but is now electrically operated. Possible to se some of the mechanism inside from the castle.

If you stay in the Old Town island this bridge gives easy access to the Modern Town island where there are restaurants, shops etc.

This view into the old town is fantastic and you almost feel like your in Paris. Taranto its self is buzzing, full of life and has a real cosmopolitan feel to it.

Had never seen a bridge that revolves on itself instead of rising up. Its small but there is a good view when one stands in the middle. It divides the old part from the new part of town
