I took the hard road on foot, by the time i reached the citadel, i've lost 5 kg. Worth the trip thoe When up there is a museum to visit and loads of resto's nearby. Excellet food

The old town centre with cobblestone streets, lots of narrow passageways, churches, restaurants, shops, wonderful views, etc. is spectacular. It reminds me of many of the villages in Tuscany but with better cheese. The rest of the town is also lovely. It's worth at least...More

one of the most beautiful corners of Sardinia and also one of the top Italian villages! I recommend a short visit to the castle, the view is gorgeous!

Up in the small historical center you have a spectacular view. Even better from the castle (3euro). Cute streets and shops with handmade stuff.

Truly unbelievable how this magnificent fort was constructed so long ago. The views are absolutely incredible and the quaint paths and restaurants make this one very special attraction.

Indeed Castelsardo is a nice place with natüre and the castle but unfortunately people does not like tourist, you feel it when you are in the restaurants, they do not smile boses are directly in the business, probably they treat their workers not proper way....More

Note that during siesta, no visits are possible. The walk to the castle was nice, strolling through little streets en enjoying colorful surroundings.

The town is excellent, and it was only about 45 minutes from the hotel, (Marinedda Resort) but there is A LOT of walking. And all of it is uphill, as the old town sits on top of the citadel, and to get everywhere you have...More
