Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A slightly uphill route immersed in the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, which if desired can also be tackled with the comfortable shuttle (electric of course) leads slowly to a wonderful place, where it is possible to wander around in solitude and climb the cliffs without danger to stop, enchanted, surrounded by the blue of the sky and the sea, looking at Capo Caccia. Or you can go around with the guide who shows the history of this place, a former barracks from the fascist era, of which, after the renovation, some buildings and the typical fascist mottos remain. Or you can have an aperitif, attentive to local products and with many creative (and delicious) proposals, supervised, especially starting in the late afternoon, by the local mascot, the little fox, who is so reminiscent of the Little Prince, and is not a case that its author. Antoine de saint Exupery was here nearby (in fact, a nearby museum is dedicated to him). Or you can have lunch or dinner and the restaurant, certainly not cheap (but you know, you have to pay for quality), offers products that pay attention to the territory, whose tradition it enhances, with some creative variations, managing to delight the palate. Or, finally, you can stay to sleep in the renovated, essential and welcoming barracks.
At Punta Giglio the wonderful nature of this coast of Sardinia marries with history, the traces of which are evident and enhanced by the renovation and, if desired, with gastronomy. A truly enchanting combination.

Accessed from Porto Conte, the 1 and a half hour trail leading to Punta Giglio is extremely pleasant. Well signposted, it offers several options to walk with different lengths/difficulties. it is also a great spot for a morning run or off-road cycling. At the time we visited, it was super quiet and the forest environment made the air cool. When reaching the "punta", the view over Capo Caccia was stunning.
There seem to be some beaches access too from the walk and also options to go all the way to Alghero through the reserve but we did not try that.

nice trek from the parking to the Punta, return following the trail by the water. Beautiful scenery. Need to pay to access the park, there are facilities at the top, great morning exercise.

A really fabulous walk through wonderfully scented forest along well defined paths and trails. Interesting old buildings.

Very nice excursion, beautiful views of the cliffs, a delirium to understand how to get there without a car from Alghero, I highly recommend the bus company Cottogno that responds to wathapps within 5 minutes giving information on the time and place of the stop to reach it.
