Found my way from the port bus stop to the cathedral. It's my reference point in Catholic Europe. Pretty facade with the marble. Ornate too inside but I prefer exterior architecture of Italy. The interior ceiling domes had pretty frescoes, but my camera wasn't set correctly.

The cathedral has a stunningly ornate interior that is well worth a visit. We went on an organised tour so I would check access times. About 30 to 40 minutes should suffice.

As you stroll somewhat aimlessly around the old town - which I recommend you do - at some point you'll find yourself at the cathedral. We enjoyed the low-key nature of the place s long as you miss the tour groups. Be sure to check out the crypt.

They allow you to take pictures. It was beautiful inside. So much detail. Make sure your shirt is not a tank top in the summer! That's a no-no. The whole area around this cathedral is lovely and there's so much to see. This was just one stop on a half day walk around the quarter.

A stunning church not to be missed! it has had various rebuilds through the ages, it of course is now classed as a cathedral and is designed in the form of a latin cross. It contains so much including a silver tabernacle from 1610, silver candelabra by famous silversmith Giovanni Salis and THE RELIC OF OUR LORDS SACRED THORN, and... More

This is quite a beautiful cathedral. The mosaics over the entry are remarkable as is the interior. This is probably one of the better cathedrals to see in Cagliari. The hike up into the Castello area is worth it. The views from the area are great. Be sure to stop for gelato in the piazza below the cathedral.

The cathedral was built around the 12 century but had many changes of styles during the centuries and was rebuilt after the war.

This cathedral was very beautiful and had a crypt down some stairs with three rooms that were interesting. The marble, paintings and carvings everywhere were incredible. It is not a big cathedral and only took us about 30 mins to walk around. It is free entry but you can make a donation. There are leaflets available in a variety of... More
