Lovely
Oct 2018 • Family
We popped in with the intention of having a look. Service was fantastic along with tasting and recommendations.
We purchased a host of lovely local products. Only reason why it was marked down from 5 is that it was quite expensive.
Overall a great experience.

Caution!
Jul 2017 • Couples
We just bought 8,41E cheese from here - I gave the man what I thought was a 50E bill and he gave me back only 1,60E. I told him I gave him a 50E bill & he spoke in Italian but I understood he thought I gave him a 10E.

Unfortunately, he did not speak much English (& I do not speak Italian) so I felt like I didn't have the ability to properly argue & also was only 99% certain on the spot...so I left.

However, I knew exactly what I should have had remaining in the few bills that I had left at home - which would allow me to figure out who was correct. Sure enough, when I returned home I was a 50E bill short - I was right, he was wrong (& hopefully not intentionally).

I essentially just paid 40E for a small wedge of cheese.

Great shop with yummy products
Jul 2015 • Couples
We went to this shop as part of the Your Sardinia Fiat 500 tour. We ended up staying long after the tour was over. Matteo was very helpful and knowledgeable about the local food and wine and we tasted several wines with some appetiser snacks. The range of local food is impressive and he will pack it appropriately for travellers. A bonus is that he speaks excellent English.

Can be good value or expensive

We ran into this shop during our tour of the city along the waterfront. Attracted by their various food products displayed, we entered the shop and was warmly greet by their people. We tried susages and cheese that were both tasteful. However, due to custom rules at home, we did not buy any. Instead, we bought some pasta at very reasonable price.

What a rip-off!
Jul 2014 • Family
We bumped into this gift shop, looking for some mirto and bottarga, but ran away after having had a look to the prices! Very expensive, they charged us more than 20 euros for a slice of peccorino cheese, so we let it go and left the shop. Fortunately our hotel's staff suggested us to visit a supermarket nearby, where we bought excellent bottarga, mirto liquor, cannonau wine and peccorino cheese, at a very reasonable price.

Vero Sardo! The Real Deal!!
I have visited their location at Via Baylle 6, just off of Via Roma and two blocks from the listed here on Vico dei Mille. If they are in the central tourist trafficked area, it is to the benefit of the tourist and anyone who shops here. These guys are passionate and love to share their wonderful Sardinian products. A variety of cheeses and salumi (charcuterie) and a superb collection of wine. In my travels throughout Sardegna I've been to good shops and touristy/generic shops that claim to be the real deal with flavors of Sardinia. These people have selected great products, sold at reasonable prices. This was most evident to me in purchasing wines. They were well chosen compared to say, the biggest shops in town Crontas, which sucked, except for their servers, waiters and bartender, who were great. Sapori di Sardegna as it's name says has the tastes of Sardinia. Presented by a crew of passionate folks that will show you what Sardinia has to offer.

cheese dreams
Mar 2014 • Solo
For cheese's sake, this is THE place! Definitely. Being there has been a real experience, surrounded by great wines, tasty cheese and much much more. I could have stayed there all day, if only I didn't have to catch my plane. Guys there sure know what they're doing and can tell you everything about what you're eating. Yeah, cause the good thing is they let you taste all those delicious things. Nice environment, good people, good prices. Abso-lutely recommended.
Thanks guys, will be back in summer, get ready! Greetings from Brixton, Sean

taste of Sardinia
Jul 2012 • Friends
This little hidden gem, located in the heart of the city centre, is a small grocery shop that we accidentally wondered into. Perhaps one reason could be that the shop is beautifully laid out, making it looks like an expensive specialty shop, but the prices are really reasonable and much cheaper than other shops meant for tourists. We picked up a nice tipical bread (pane carasau), local salami (mustela and sheep's fillet), a couple cheeses (pecorino of course!) and olives and enjoyed the best food we had in Cagliari on this trip, back in our hostel room. The deli products sold here were very fine quality, tasting delicious. You can also find a great selection of local wines sold, we had one that was really superb, and the shop assistant (a real sommelier) is perfectly happy to make recommendations. Great food, great wine, great people.

Great wines and cheeses!

Great Pecorino Cheese and outstanding Wine selection. Very nice and knowledgeable people working there which led us try different stuff. The best thing was that they sent us the wine back home as we came with Ryanair to Sardinia and had very limited luggage. I will for sure order something online with them.

How to remember Sardegna.
Oct 2011 • Couples
This is just a little shop but we were so interested in what it sold that I think other travelers should know about it. In it you can find all kinds of foodstuffs typical of this island. Anybody wishing to buy something that will really remind him/her of their stay on this beautiful island should not give "Sapori di Sardegna" a miss! Another thing, the owner is extremely friendly and goes out of his way to be as helpful as possible.
