Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely park, perfect for a sit down and picnic. It has a play area so is good for children too as well as a lot of animals to look at. Furthermore, it is free entry so definitely worth a visit if you want to spend a few hours away from the city.

The biggest park in the heart of Cagliari...Sardinia's biggest city...with fantastic views at the very top. Wild peacocks, ducks, and turtles populate the ponds. Tons of rides and activities for the kids. Snack bar, food truck, and huge shade trees make for a relaxing time. Best time to visit?...from 1-4pm when all the locals are at home for lunch.

We stopped in Cagliari while on a Mediterranean cruise and planned a walk through Parco di Monte Urpinu and up to the top of the hill. It was a very hot day but we still made the effort and were rewarded with amazing views from the top. Well worth the graft!

Look out for the statue San Francesco when you get to the top.

This area is great for an informal stroll with friends, for a romantic walk, or just a visit to the playground with children.

Parco di Monte Urpinu provides spectacular views. From the park it is possible to see the pink flamingos on the Stagno di Molentargius, and apparently they fly from there nightly.
Catering facilities are limited, but staff are friendly and the cost reasonable.
Whilst clearly the park is maintained, it feels a little tired and better signs and more seating would help.

Beautiful park full of pine trees and peacocks! The playground is strangely spaced out though - decent equipment but hard to keep an eye on the kids as there is so much empty space in between everything.

Great shaded parkland area, full of areas to sit and enjoy the “wildlife”. Enjoyed seeing the terrapins in the pool.. A fair hike to the top but worth the view of the cityscape..

We bussed to the foot of the hill and walked up the road to the top of the park... 15 minutes up for reasonably fit people. The views are well worth it, changing as you progress around the crest of the hill. Then down through the park. It was quiet, attractive and peaceful. Creatures spotted: very tame black and white cat having a dust bath but willing to pause for pats and ear scratches, 2 ducks absolutely unwilling to budge from their place on the path, a small group of peacocks or maybe hens, and 1 rooster, (unless hens have combs, not sure).

Super park with great views ofer the city AND kids games, ducks, lots of free gorgeous peacocks and other animals. Buses go there from the city center or the upper side too as it was our case.
Do not miss a stroll in this hilly park when you come to Cagliary.

After walking and looking over this area on previous days it was lovely to see the spectacular views over the sea and the city.

This is well worth a visit to see the amazing views over Cagliari. You can also see the flamingoes from the top.

A must see whilst in the area
