Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only other sight that we saw on day two of our tour of Olbia, apart from this fad of men wearing trousers far too short for them, was the 15th century church - Chiesa Parrocchiale di S.Paolo Apostolo - reconstructed in the 18th and 19th centuries and doesn't it show. From the outside the church is pleasant enough with a domed roof formed in a multicoloured zigzag pattern. It reminded me that my Missoni jumper needs to be taken to the the dry cleaners. Inside is where the disaster started. The artwork was too terrible to be forgiven, the wall paintings looked as though they had come from a child's book of stickers, a young child at that. It was so off-putting I couldn't remember anything else.
The outside did make a super backdrop for a couple of pictures.

Colour adorns this building inside and out ... inside it's a working church and beautifully cared for. The pulpit is splendid as are the frescoes.
It has real atmosphere and purpose.

Beautiful Church nestled away off a side street. We culd see the dome from our hotel but i found it more through luck than judgement as the bells started to ring and i followed the chimes

This church is just off the main street, Corso Umberto I, near Tourist Information.
After walking along a couple of small streets you will spot the distinctive multicoloured dome. There are two entrances, one at the Plaza Civitas and one at the side. It is quite dark inside. It is a small church from the eighteenth century with a couple of statues of note, an impressive altar, some frescos (one showing the feeding of the five thousand) and some modern stained glass windows. Allow around twenty minutes to have a look around.

Walkin around Olbia, just aside the main street, we found this 18th-century granite church spectacularly topped by a valencian style multicoloured tiled dome -altrough some sources trace its origins at the late medieval era- built over the ruins of a roman temple dedicated to Hercules.
After some shopping (and eating) we found it relaxing and peaceful, while we were able to see some art objects inside, such as the wooden choir and pulpit of the eighteenth century and some silver artifacts crafted by local artists.
Altrough not much time is needed to see all of it, nor we wont go to Olbia just to visit this attraction, definetly worth visiting while over there :)

The first thing you will notice is the colorful dome. Then there is the colorful interior.
It dates from the Middle Ages, but it was heavily remodeled in the mid 18th century, and again with the addition of the paintings near the ceiling.

The first thing you see when you are walking about Olbia is the colourful doom.
The bells ring too.
It is €2 pp to enter.
There are various paintings and mosaic pictures to look at. The pulpit and choir area is of carved wood. It’s surprising how much light enters. A quiet peaceful modern interior in the middle of Olbia.
