Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Finding yourself walking on a cold January night in one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.
Piazza Tola is always the surprise of looking at the monument in its center and thinking that it is Pasquale Tola sitting there for years watching time pass, the city change, transform, grow and expand its borders. His gaze, which goes beyond the houses of via Sebastiano Satta, is turned towards the sea, breaking down walls and prejudices that close off the historic city. Piazza Tola, a place to always revisit.

We walked here from Corso Vittorio Emanuele in the afternoon, so it was almost empty. In the past it was an important place: executions were held here. In the middle of the square is the statue of Pasquale Tola, a politician, prosecutor and historian, who was born in Sassari. Around there are nice buildings: Palazzo D’ Ussini (now a library and archives) and Palazzo Tola. I think we should come back in the future, because we were here in wrong time. Now I know from the reviews that we should come here in the morning to visit the market, or in the evening to see the lively life .

Such a great and historical place to visit! During the daytime it’s is perfect to visit the market (morning) and the historical library. Amazing evenings for an aperitivo, with so many trattorias and nightlife, great restaurants! Not to miss when visiting Sassari!

This square is my favorite place in Sassari! A street market takes place there every week day, and it regularly has concerts and events during the nighttime, there are plenty of bars, and great restaurants, and you can really feel the Sassarese vibe during warm nights, when the square fills up with joy and happiness! It’s known as the heart of Sassari for a reason!
