Took the funicular to the beach. Great views you don’t want to miss. We really enjoyed our time relaxing at the beach and swimming in the Ionian Sea. Walked out to Isola Bella for a beautiful view back at the mainland. We had a very...More

Isola Bella cannot be missed while staying in Taormina. Just walk across the narrow strip of stones to the little island. Those stones are rather unpleasant to walk on, but they are soon forgotten after enjoying the views.

Enjoy Isola Belle but not in the summer when it is far too busy! We went in October, the weather was fine and we bathed in the sea, but the island was near deserted and you could really drink in the artmoshere and enjoy the...More

Isola Bella is a beautiful place that has a nice beach and crystal clear water. The beach is rocky, so it's a good idea to buy rubber shoes.

Yes, this is a very pretty beach but unforturnately you have to walk down 152 steps to get to it and that means 152 steps to get back to the street. The beach and the water are very rocky -- wear water shoes. You can't...More

There isn't masses to see or do, but it's worth visiting nonetheless. You can walk down from Taormina and if you don't fancy going back up all those steps then you can take the cable car.

Easy walk to the island, a few strides across shallow water. I had water shoes but my husband used the hotel slippers just for that bit. Lovely views from the villa across the sea, not so good of the awfully crowded beach. Such a peaceful...More

Visited here in September 2018. The weather was perfect to swim and not crowded at all. Remember your water shoes, or there are people selling them there for 10 euros

True, there are a lot of steps and a lot of people, and the beach is not very comfortable, but if you enjoy snorkelling, this is a good place to go. There are rocky and mysterious landscapes below the surface, and more fish than you'd...More
