I am a Sicilian Personal Travel Designer based in Catania, Sicily. After my Master’s degree in Tourism Management at London University of Westminster, I moved back to Catania, worked for a tour operator for over 8 years and opened a B&B in the city. My deep knowledge of Sicily and Italy allows me to design the best itinerary for you, selecting the most reliable and beautiful accommodations, experiences and, last but not least, saving your precious time planning for you a stress-free vacation.

Antonella is a very thorough, meticulous and profesional person in the travel planning service industry which took care of designing a one week trip for my wife Alma and myself. My wife has limited mobility and uses an electrical wheelchair so her special needs were quite important to take in consideration in everything she planned for us. Antonella took care of the following for us:
- Define an itinerary selecting the island best area to visit and the activities in such area according to our tastes.
- Propose and make hotel reservations considering what we were looking for, our budget and our special needs.
- Select and hire private tour guides for us to visit places appropriate for us.
- Provide a list of restaurants and make reservations for us of the ones we selected.
At all times she was available either by WhatsApp messages or telephone and pending for any specific need we had.

Antonella was our angel! This was our second time working with her to create the most wonderful trip through Puglia and Sicily. Antonella guided us to select hotels, restaurants, activities, car rentals and guides. During our planning stage, she promptly answered our many emails and was always pleasant. She creates a beautiful travel itinerary for you that is a combination of a review of the area plus specific information about each day's activities, including google links and phone/email info for the guides. It was so easy!
When our rental car had a flat tire in a rural area in the pouring rain, we called Antonella. Fifteen minutes later she had a tow truck at our site to resolve our break-down! She truly extended herself beyond what was expected, and boy, were we happy!
We can't wait to plan the next trip with Antonella! She is the best!!

I found Antonella through a google search, I immediately had a good feeling about her. She created an itinerary for our family, incorporating feedback about our likes and dislikes. She was honest and a great communicator (excellent English and also Spanish in addition to Italian!). She recommended tour guides and unique experiences (Gli Aromi in Scicli, Planeta Winery, boat tour in Catania) that we would not have found on our own. We got to meet her in person when we were in Catania, she is an experienced tour operator starting out on her own business and we would always use her in the future for travel in Sicily or anywhere in Italy.

I have just returned from Barcelona, a four-day trip organized entirely by Antonella of My Personal Sicily. Everything was perfect. Antonella was able to show us the main beauties of the city, taking into account the times of the children and their needs. Also excellent choice to buy tickets in advance, making us avoid endless lines. I can’t wait to leave again and I will definitely rely on My Personal Sicily!

Our family took a chance on My Personal Sicily because we liked the website and wanted a local person to design our trip. Antonella was superb! She scheduled an itinerary that perfectly fulfilled what we'd asked for. She answered all our questions promptly via email. We're from highly touristed towns so know what good advice and service look like –– & how challenging it can be. The guides, hotels and businesses knew her and wanted us (& Antonella) to be pleased. In Catania, we arranged to meet her. Antonella is a joy as well as a fine ambassador.
We highly recommend her to anyone going to Italy.

Thank you very much Antonella for helping me organize the trip to Andalusia with my mom! Everything was tailor-made, the tour has been fantastic and the location of each hotel is perfect! We toured Seville, Córdoba, Granada and Málaga in 8 days: incredible and highly recommended! We loved the Alhambra in Granada!

I used this service for a solo trip to Sicily for three weeks. Antonella was absolutely wonderful. She took care of every detail and went above and beyond. She checked in with me frequently to make sure that things were going smoothly. I would most definitely recommend her services if you are planning a unique trip to Sicily.

Antonella referred me to an Italian genealogist to research family documents (pre-trip) and then set up a day trip to visit my ancestors villages, with a private driver picking us up at the Messina cruise port. From the beginning, I knew I had made the right choice in selecting her. Extremely professional and excellent communication. Thanks to her (and our awesome driver) I have memories of a lifetime, connecting with my Sicilian roots. I highly recommend Antonella!

I am a travel agent and I had clients that were interested in finding their ancestors. Antonella put us in touch with someone who provided very thorough research. Antonella assisted with accommodations, tours, and finding the best priced rental car. My clients and I were very pleased with Antonella's service. In fact, I am using her myself for my trip to Sicily later this year.

This is a worthwhile service that will save you time and also make you aware of special places you might not have considered or known about. You can also get advice /feedback on places you do want to go to such as tourist sites, tours, restaurants, hotels, parks, etc. Propose a basic itinerary or just a wish list of types of activities you like and the dates you have available and she’ll flesh out an entire Sicily trip. You can then iterate it with her.
For example, she recommended a restaurant (I tried several of her recommendations - all were good) in the heart of Catania which I would have assumed had to be a tourist trap, but was actually a locals-oriented place with great food, wine, prices, and service (Tratorria di Cavilere if you must know). I never would have tried it on my own.
Better yet, if you get confused or hung up on the trip, she can also act as a real-time trouble shooter. That alone can pay for the service in saved money, time, and peace of mind. She rescheduled some long range taxis for me when my original reservations got cancelled that I would have had great difficulty doing on my own.
Also consider staying at her Oblo B&B in Catania which is just a few hundred meter easy walk from the Central (train) Station. Not your typical set-up. It is on the seventh floor of what looks to be an ordinary office building. Perfectly appointed for the traveler. Modern, compact, rooms with a view. And you get to meet Antonella in person!
