Peaceful gardens full of benches therefore easy to find a place for some relaxing moments after a walking day in Via Etnea, just across the road one finds take away or eat in establishments.

If you happen to be in Catania one must visit this beautiful garden. From the top there is magnificent view of Mount Etna covered in snow. Considering the large number of people visiting and passing through the garden every day it is clean. Unfortunately one cannot say the same for the toilets which are dirty and in need of total... This is about the only large piece of greenery in the centre, rising from the top of Via Etnea, bridging the next road and then spreading out. The Via Etnea entrance is the visual set piece, and the place to be seen with its paths, fountain and flower garden rising to the plateau, which has good views across town. The... More

Large gardens, floral clock and fountain, pleasant place for a stroll away from the crowds, a bit run down.

Very nice place in the middle of the hectic city. Very green and well kept place. We walked through it on the way to our car.

The gardens were nearly opposite our hotel so we wandered into them for a look. Very crowded around the entrance with students sitting around and eating. The most interesting thing is the floral 'calendar' spelling out the date, which is changed every day. Nothing special about the plants.

The gardens are small but you can see that people like to go and sit there. Manicured gardens, looking pretty in spring.

Right in the city center, off Via Entnea. A great place to relax after visiting the churches at the far end of the street. It is a small garden and an easy walk will get one up to the highest point.

Pleasant, well kept, small park just off Catania's busy main street. There are plenty of benches and good views of Mount Etna. A nice retreat in the heart of the city.

Quite a large garden with a myriad of paths, you can wander for hours, set on many level, the highest area is a well laid out rectangle with views in all directions. You can really get lost as it is set between the streets on three sides. One quirky feature is that the date is set in plantings and is... More
