One of the best and most beautiful churches of the town. Centrally located and master-place of fireworks

The exterior is architecturally more interesting than the interior. There are more elaborate churches in Europe than this one. It is conveniently located by Via Entnea.

This church was one we wanted to visit and as we arrived a traditional Sicilian wedding was just taking place at the church This made it a bonus as we had a good look inside and then watched the bride arrive outside. Beautiful church inside and far more interesting than the main Basilica.

We visited this Basilica after the Duomo in Catania and so it was a bit disappointing as it does not have the splendour of the duomo. The history is interesting but we did not have long there as it was closing for a long break at lunchtime. OK if you are in the area for a short visit.

Basilica in Catania definitely will visit as part of walking through the city. It's not as grandiose as the piazza duomo, or a beautiful work of architecture

The history of this church was quite interesting but the inside was OK. Still I would suggest stopping but in terms of church interiors I have seen better.

We just happened upon this church while walking around town. The exterior is old looking and that's what caught my attention. However, it is closed today.

Stunning architecture and significant area of the city. It is fully available to the public and its location is not to be missed

definitely worth seeing! check if you can get a glimpse of the Cannalora (the big candles / towers) that are brought around during the festiva of the patron saint (Agata).
