The Museum consists of more than 600,000 fossils divided into numerous collections, fossils embracing a time interval of more than 270 million years of geological and paleontological history of Sicily. The exhibition space is divided over three floors divided into a guided tour.

The Museum has an extraordinary range of geological treasures here, and you can see why this Island has been a draw for Paleontologists for the last two centuries. take your time and bring a pocket guide on geology with you!

This museo is still undergoing rehabilitation so only a few galleries were open, but were they ever worth visiting! It is a beautiful building filled with amazing artifacts which were displayed artfully!

It's a small effort, translations would make it a lot more understandable and although we speak 4 languages, it is just a lot easier to go through the museum reading interesting stuff in a language you are familiar with.

Very Interesting to see, ancient ruins and great story boards. See at you own pace, people very friendly there, definitely worth the price of admission, FREE!
