We caught the last tour of the day with just a few other couples and really enjoyed the 30 minute walk through these remarkable catacombs. Well worth the entry fee and the remains of the church itself were lovely in the late afternoon light. Tours...More

There are 7000 graves in these catacombs, which extend over a huge underground area. You can only visit with a guide but it’s worth it - even though the guide we had repeated his words like a mantra with little sense of understanding what he...More

We had an interesting guided tour of the second largest catacombs- after Rome. Hourly tours for E5. Well worth the experience. Guide speaks in your language. On top St Johns ruins and Altar

An absolute delight to be steeped in the history. Really puts UK history in perspective. Multi lingual tour was informative but didn't allow time to really explore or ask questions. Can't take photos in there either. Worth it.

Splendidly atmospheric and a great place to visit. We followed up with a visit to the archaeological museum to see the sarcophagus of adelphia which was found here.

We arrived shortly before the tour given in Italian and English by the guide. She explained everything very well. This is worth a visit.
