The castle was undergoing renovation work, and so the main hall and battlements were closed to visitors. That was a shame, as from pictures I've seen, they look to be the most interesting parts. You can still visit the outer area, and a tiny museum....More

During our visit the main section of the castle was closed as they are undertaking extensive renovations to the whole castle but it was nevertheless impressive and a quiet break from bustling Ortigia. I`m not sure if they provide them but a guided tour would...More

Great for the kids. They loved running around the castle and the castle grounds. Beautiful views of the sea! It was under construction when we visited so we didn't get to go down below. Bummer!

Only costs 2 Euros optoelectronics ter. Doing lots of construction inside. Takes about 20-30 minutes to walk around. Stop by if you are close by. Wouldn’t go out of my way to see.

A bit disappointing because main bit of castle was closed for repair work but it wasn't that costly to get in. some good exhibition areas once in

Not just the castle proper, but walkways with the beat views are closed as well. The stories about when the castle and grounds will fully reopen are vague to an extreme.
