Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the street that leads up to the Teatro Greco. From what I found, this appears to be the main ‘souvenir’ street in Taormino. There are souvenir and pottery shops on both sides of the street, leading up to the Teatro Greco. Even if you do not want/need souvenirs, I recommend walking this street to view the amazing pottery and handcrafts. Of course, the Teatro Greco is another good reason, as it is worth visiting!

This street is the only way to enter the Greek theater. On the side are souvenir shops. When there are many people on their way to the theater, there is congestion in the street because the street is too narrow for many visitors.

There are some nice viewpoint on the right side of the street when you walk towards the theater.

You'll find this interesting street right after Porta Messina, on your left from Corso Umberto which is the main street in Taormina Old City.
There are indeed many shops of all kind along this street, mainly souvenir shops of course, and eateries.

You''ll be also very close to Bam Bar and its unforgettable Granita (try pistachio, coffee or almond).

I believe you'll pass by this street whether you want it or not.
Since it leads to the Roman Theater (which 10 euros entrance is by the way free on the 1st Sunday of every month) and since this Theatre is on of the top 3 attraction in Taormina, you'll probably be there.

As I wrote, it also crosses Corso Umberto which the Top attraction so ...let your feet lead you there, stop for an hour or two at the Ancient Theater and then take a Granita and Brioche break at Bam Bar, you won't regret it.

This street is quite important, not only beacuse it's connecting Corso Umberto and the Greek Theatre, but also because it houses some of the best souvenir shops in Taormina.

Great collection of beautiful buildings as you walk along, most with shops or cafes. Surface is lovely large flat cobbles in places, great for mobility scooter/wheel chairs. As we came down we encourage some hot and bothered ladies telling them to keep going as it was worth the effort. Very expensive hotel just before reaching amphitheatre entrance! Souvenir stalls were more expensive I think than in main part of town. Very little shade on walk up and very hot 35deg plus !!!

A very unique and spectacular Greek Theatre indeed, due to the sight of the Mount Etna right in front of the stony steps for the audience. A must visit when in Taormina.

This is another busy touristy street, and one that's impossible to avoid if you want to visit the theatre. I suggest you hurry past the tat to give yourself more time in the theatre itself.
