One of the best days we spent in Sicily. Skilful driver and knowledgeable tour guide took us round the temples at a gentle pace and provided loads of interesting information. Their sense of humour and patience in dealing with people made the tour. It was a small group in a comfortable bus and, although it was a long day, we... More

This is a long day trip but definitely worth the time and the money. It takes close to 12 hours because you drive over 500km across Sicily.....but the great thing is someone else drives the large, comfortable a/c coach while you relax and watch the countryside. Antonio was an excellent and safe driver, despite roadworks, tight turns and other crazy... More

We booked a fairly extensive day out which included the Alcantara Gorge, Randazzo (a town at the foot of Etna) and a trip up to the highest authorised zones. We were not disappointed. The short trek from the jeep station was quite an experience, with high winds and warm clothing required even on a clear October day. Stunning and highly... More

Took the tour to Siracusa and Ortygia. There was a delay of about 25 minutes at a coffee stop while we waited for a second bus to arrive. The guide spoke 3 different languages and while admirable, the degree of explanation took up a lot of time. I think it would have been less harried if there wasn't this delay... More

Hello Alwaysdrive, thank you for your feedback, although it was impossible to clarify which day you are referring to as you do not mention it. It would have been useful in order to analyse with our staff the reason of the stop at the coffee shop, we can possibly guess there was an emergency to handle, otherwise we never keep... More

This was the most disappointing tour I have ever been on! This was more of a taxi service to the islands. First the bus arrived to pick us up a half hour late. The boat was unorganized and seating was limited. It was far too crowded to enjoy the ride. The tour guide was terrible and provided little to no... More

Hello Mat G, from your feedback we do not understand which day the tour was, who the guide was, if is a "she " or a "he", so it is difficult to reconstruct and ask clarifications also for the mentioned delay, that frankly, it is really very rare on our excursions. We understand that it was the peak of the... More

This tour-group is about 150-200 people. There is no itinerary anywhere, so everything feels very dynamic. You start your day on a bus from Taormina (about 1.5-2 hours). During this time the guide talked consistently, in Italian then English and finally German. You will have to pay another 1.5€ per person for some tax. At the port you go on... More

Dear LiD101_12, in accordance with the provisions of the harbor and coast guard is strictly prohibited to stand with the docked ship on the quay so the motorboat, after passengers' upload and download, must necessarily move away from the port that is why the crew serve dinner more offshore. Regarding the crowd, again, it is the peak of the season... More

A tour of Mt Etna, for anyone visiting Sicily, especially Taormina or Catania, is a must. There are not that many active volcanos one can visit nor one that has such an influence on its locality and environment. The lady at SAT who booked our tour was very pleasant and helpful. I am surprised by the rave reviews posted by... More

Dear BTDMSydney, impossible to reconstruct who the Tour Leader on that particular day was, since you do not indicate the date. All our Tour Leaders do the explanation in 2/3 languages and it is impossible to say the exact number of words in all idioms. Neverthless, if you felt that the english version was not enough you were most welcome... More

Warning Viator Rip off (Mt Etna day trip from Taormina) This tour by SAT is a complete rip off, it is sold by Viator as a trip to the summit crater. The trip stops at 2900 meters despite our reservation clearly stating Summit crater. (400 meters higher) There are guided tours to the summit crater sold on site for 85... More

Dear moronhill, in our opinion talking about a rip off is offensive towards Viator and our organization as well. The tour you are mentioning in alternative to ours, is a tailor-made tour with small groups and it is basically a hard trekking which is not suitable to a big group. On all our information and details it is clearly stated... More

We went on Etna and Alcantara tour. There was nowhere in the brochure that if you dont pay additional 8 euros, you will wait 1 hour in a caffe. Additionally, tour guide did not tell anything about the Alcantara and why is important. He have spoken very little during the tour and his English was hilarious. His name is Alfredo.... More

Dear SanjaBajic, as the visit to the Alcantara Gorges Park is extra as written on all our brochures and website, guests are not forced to pay and enter, it is obvious that, if you decide not to visit the park, you will have to wait for the rest of the group. Otherwise, you could have chosen the Etna Basic Tour... More
