We walked through during the day and it wasn't very crowded but at night.....just hopping with activity. Kiosks were set up with varying merchandise, actors in medieval costumes were displaying their craft and then.... soccer! Seemed the whole town turned out and tvs were everywhere....More

Grab a Gelato and sit on the bench in the sun. The Piazza is alive with locals and tourists coming and going in all directions, it makes for a relaxing 10 min or so.

Very average piazza, just the start of the historical center, but nicer piazza in the center and much nicer views in Cortona (Duomo or even better near Basilica or Fortezza)
