Though only visiting the main showroom this year I visited all exhibits of Cortona on the Move 2013 and thought the various venues were stunningly atmospheric and original, filling all the senses with different aspects of Cortona. The last exhibit was the Fort and WOW!!! There the last evening hour the works were highlighted by a sinking sun over the... More

We loved the photo show in the old hospital of santa Margerita, in the old part of Cortona, inside the walls, the photos were of quality photografers, the exhibition was very interesting, the arrangement was simple but very nice for the atmosphere. pricewise was OK too.

Slipping into t.he gallery I had hoped to see a broader representation of the much talked about photography display. The lighting was poor and plastic was draped here and there giving an unprofessional presentation. Some photos from t.he 60's were worth spending some time viewing. Lynda B.

The only really worthy section was that on contemporary Hermits, excellent, and some of the pictures of locals in the context of Dantesque quotations. Most of the other were not at the same level as 2011.

I liked the fact that several exhibitions were held in different places in the old town, so I could explore also the local architecture and focus on each photographer. The arrangements to have a guide did not work, despite I had booked it in advance, nobody showed up at the meeting point.

Came across this by accident and wow, fantastic exhibition. If you are in the area check it out. Spread across Cortona, even up to the top of the hill, amazing display of images from across the global and covering lots of issues.
