This unique Florentine piazza is the center of the artisan quarter. Dominated by the last masterpiece of Brunelleschi, the Basilica of Santo Spirito, the square is home to little local markets and antique fairs.

I love this little Piazza for the markets that spring up in the morning and for the cozy little cafes that go late into the night. It has lovely trees and flowers and is just a very nice place to hang out.

We stumbled across Piazza Santo Spirito one Sunday afternoon. We looked around the lovely antique market, shared a porchetta roll but then decided to stay for lunch. Lovely pasta and a bottle of red. Perfect

We stayed at this apartment that was conveniently located to the main attractions, but was away from all the hustle and bustle of the crowds across the river. The apartment was superbly decorated with taste and function. We actually used the kitchen quite a bit...More

This piazza has lots of character and an abundance of eateries. We chose Osteria Santo Spirito and weren't disappointed. Even if not eating, this is a great place to just chill. Apparently there's a monthly organic market here though sadly we missed it.

This particular piazza contains the Basilica of Santa Maria del Santo Spirito. Which is a great church.

Not very pretty but authentical. Little market going on even in december. Try some food with one for the less touristic places here. You'll love the better quality and sound of Italian surrounding you.

Of all the piazzas in Firenze, this is the one we most frequented during our month-long visit. A couple of blocks from the river on the Oltrarno side of the Santa Trinita Bridge, it is an old, vibrant center. In the morning, you can get...More

We stayed in a wonderful apartment near this area. Loved waking up and visiting the local bakery and sitting in the plaza to people watch. A lot of food options and beautiful stores nearby.

Santa Spirito is not far from the main areas. At Santa Spirito you can find a good mix of locals and tourists. There are great restaurants over there. On certain days there is also a market. We loved the atmosphere there.
