With so many buses and cars in this area near the main station any real chance of appreciating this square is somewhat lost. Unfortunately as it is a green heart needed very much in overcrowded Florence
The park is insignificant as a whole (but it’s not by any means bad). However - we are travelling with two children and the playground at the northern end, shadowed by many trees, was very appreciated!
Piazza dell'Indipendenza is a fairly large square, with lots of greenery, trees and plants and some space to sit down and relax. There are some cafes in the surrounding area, so you will not get too thirsty or hungry! The square has lots of space...More
