Didn't really enjoy this tour much. Really slow boat. Could have seen everything from the bridges and walking. Staff was nice. Kids would be really bored.

While in Florence, my husband and I went on 4 tours. A Gelato & pizza cooking class. A 2.5 hour walking tour, Vespa tour of wine country and a boat ride down Orno River. All tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, fun to be around. And, the tours were fun. I highly recommend this company to book a tour with.

my 2 daughters, 18 and 16 loved this tour. After we practiced driving the vespas, we toured the countryside, vineyard and stopped for a Kodak moment. We even toured a private vineyard collection. The tour guides were nice and informative. When we were done, we were treated with a delicious lunch with our new friends. I would highly recommend this... More

We had a wonderful afternoon tour of Siena, San Gimignano, and the Tuscan countryside with Lorenzo and Francesca. Lorenzo was kind and enthusiastic, and even gave us some extra time in San Gimignano. Francesca is extremely knowledgeable of Siena, and guided us through the streets with the perspective of a Sienese. Our dinner was also a highlight. We would definitely... More

We took two tours with Florencetown. The first was a vineyard tour with a small group of only 6 people. It was perfect. Friendly and knowledgeable guide that wasn't pretentious. Our second tour was for a private tour to view the David. Our guide once again, was amazing. She was so pleasant and knew an extensive amount about the art.... More

We did the pizza and gelato making class and also the other cooking class where we made pasta. We asked another company if we could bring our four-year-old son and they said no one under 18 was allowed. Florencetown welcomed him and they were awesome. The classes were perfect for the whole family and they gave our son special attention.... More

I will start by saying the driver, Elesio could not have been nicer. He had a great sense of humor and was very attentive. If he had more local knowledge to share it would have made the trip more of a tour. Be that said, the van was old and not extremely comfortable. The tour guide in Siena was wonderful... More

Talk about a great way to spend a day! Lucky us we had Christian all to our self! We felt very safe as he drove us along the route while giving us fun facts along the way. The walking tour of the 5 towns were fun, informative and tasty! We were blown away with the traditional dishes we were served... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
