It is well worth the time to seek out this small museum on the outskirts of Florence to view the wonderful cenacola of Andrea del Sarto. Other works are on display, but we came for the cenacola and it did not disappoint. The piece is...More

A bit of a trek from the center. We walked but would be a short taxi. Small museum of paintings but the real star is the beautifully conserved Cenacolo by del Sarto. Well worth the trip. And we were all alone.

This is a true hidden treasure in a city that is brimming with fantastic historic and cultural gems. I was fortunate to be taken there by a friend in a car, as it is off the beaten tourist and unfortunately also public transportation path. Needless...More

We were glad to visit this simple yet a hidden treasure of Florence. Far from the city proper, and not easily to access by public transport. But very rich in collections and It's FREE.

In Florence you´ll find some excellent examples of tuscan "Last Supper"´s, Gaddi in S Spirito, Andrea del Castagno in Sant´Apollonia, Ghirlandaio in San Marco and Ognissanti, but in my opinion Andrea del Sarto´s fresco in the refectory of San Salvi is the most important and...More

Visiting this museum involved catching a No 6 bus from Piazza San Marco - bus-stop called Lungo L'Africa and follow the signposts. Most people miss this museum as it is out of town - and let's face there is no shortage of things to see...More

In a small street a few bus stops from the center sits one of the most remarkable collections of paintings in all of Florence: great altar-pieces, pensive saints and an oasis of peace and quiet over which hangs the great "last supper" by Andrea del...More
