This was an excellent trip and would highly recommend. The planned stops throughout the day provided a real insight into Tuscan life and the stop at the vineyard for lunch was exquisite. Elisa our guide was brilliant; hosted with a lot of fun and provided key points of interest.

We did the Florence cooking course this October. Our guide was Gloria and the chef was Carmella, both of whom were excellent. Gloria was very informative the whole day, helping throughout the cooking and if anybody needed anything. Carmella was energetic and clearly very good in the kitchen. They both made it an enjoyable day. My only negative comment would... More

This tour was a wonderful experience. Gloria our guide was very informative and did an awesome walking tour of Florence while we gathered ingredients for our cooking class. The Tuscan Farmhouse where we cooked was a modern structure that was built in the hills of Tuscany with a stunning view. The food we prepared with the assistance of Carmella was... More

This tour was great and well worth the price! Angelo was our guide. He not only gave the history, but gave us great insights into the culture, past present. The previous day I had walked past some of the sights. After the tour with Angelo, I realized I had only scratched the surface. I even re walked parts of the.... More

The Tuscany in a Day Tour was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested - each place we visited was interesting and very enjoyable! Everyone we came in contact with was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had an incredible guide - Valerie that made the day that much better. She was full of all... More

I did the Best of Tuscany, Cinque Terre Trek and Vintage Vespa Tour with Walkabout Florence and they were all absolutely brilliant. Real highlights of my 3 weeks in Italy and Florence is my favourite city thanks to them. I was travelling solo and met fantastic new friends on each tour. It was a close call on the Best of... More

My partner and I took both the Best of Tuscany and the Cinque Terre Trek tour and loved both of them. On each the guide was informative and genuinely nice (Alessandro for the Tuscany tour - a proud and attractive Italian who is from Florence, not Sienna and Giada for the trek - a skilled martial artist with boundless energy).... We are so glad we booked this tour. It was a highlight on our European trip. 5 courses, an amazing Chef, and heaps of Chianti Classico. Lavi and Sandra were so knowledgable - thank you for everything!! I'm recommending this to my friends and everyone who's looking for a great day out in Tuscany.

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
