I went on a pre booked "skip the line" tour. We still had to queue for almost 40 mins but apparently this related to the number of tickets the Gallery sold and how fast others left the Gallery. Crowds a bit off-putting but art impressive....More

Be prepared to queue even with ‘fast track’ tickets. But well worth the wait. I would recommend downloading a floor plan map as many of the artworks seem to be moved about since the guide was written

Pre-booking is definitely a good tip to avoid the largest of the long lines of queues, this place is one of the top attractions and once inside you can understand why. Nice views of Florence and the hills from the internal corridors.
