This huge square in the heart of Florence contains a really interesting 3D metal map of the city. Soak up a little atmosphere and put on your walking shoes! It's the perfect place to get your bearings and start your tour.

Nice enough open piazza with various street artists performing. A local told us that when the square was built they demolished a lot of even older buildings, which put the different styles of architecture into context.

I love this piazza with Cafe Gillis for wonderful pastries, I enjoy the street musicians and the atmosphere is just great day or evening.

Great piazza, surrounded by beautiful buildings, there is a beautiful carousel. I love the Piazza della Repubblica, it has a nice atmosphere, a lot of music, full of life... In a Caffe Gilli we are enjoyed in delicious italian cakes on my birthday :-)

Beatiful buildings surrounding a huge piazza with several expensive restaurants and cafes. The ony odd thing here is a carousel. But it adds some enchantment-

This square has this wonderful arch building that reigns high above the whole square and is completely spoilt by someone's idea of putting a kiddies merry-go-round in front of it to annoy all photographers.

Large square where they had an old fashioned Carousel. Great for people watching but only one small spot to sit. Worth a few minutes but not really a lot to “see” except people watching. If you like my review, I hope you'll click the 'helpful'...More

It is located very central next to the shopping street, with a pharmacy in the Piazza, apple store near by (in case you need to charge your phone). The free wifi is quite strong in this location. It is also a good place to sit...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
