Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This elegant piazza facing the Arno is one of the off-the-beaten path jewels of Firenze. Two Renaissance palazzos, homes to two exclusive hotels, Westin Excelsior and St.Regis look majestic in their solemn beauty.
And lovely Chiesa di Ognissanti is the place where the hidden treasure is: visit its refectory and you will find Ghirlandaio’s masterpiece, “The Last Supper”. It is a real gem.

It’s a decent Piazza near the water. There is Church Chiesa S. Salvatore IN Ognissanti and a sculpture of a man fighting a lion… and guess who that man is? ITS HERCULES!!! :)

This Piazza is home to the eponymous church and is surrounded by many re-purposed Palazzos. These include Palazzo Lenzi (honorary French consulate and Institut Francais), Palazzo Giuntini (St. Regis Florence Hotel) and Palazzo Bonaparte (Hotel Westin Excelsior). It is also the home to “ Ercole che Lotta con Il Leon” a sculpture by Romanelli. In addition, on Saturday it is home to a small open-air market place.

This is an utterly ugly and neglected square, and considering it houses 2 of Florence's most expensive hotels - it's mind boggling.

Like many other squares in Florence, this one was also designed to be the frame for the church that was built here. It was created to accommodate sermons, ceremonies and festivities in front of the church. It was also the place for wool production, organized by the Humiliati order (which was suppressed by the Pope in the 16th century). It is pretty simple and ordinary square, located by the river with some nice views around.

A large uncluttered piazza, we happened across it walking along the river bank on our way to the Ponte Vecchio.
Being so bare it gives an impressive view of The Ornissanti church and we were then drawn to the large status of Hercules fighting a lion.

..at best but what it does contain the church on it is Donatello's tomb which is worth seeing. There are other interesting houses & and statues on the square but it is not Florence's best. A couple of seats for weary tourists would help though & the walk to it if you walk along the road one back from the river is full on interesting shops.

It's precisely because the Piazza Ognissanti is so bare (no trees, no grass, not even the traditional statue of a past dignitary) that it allows the adjoining Ognissanti church to stand out clearly in what otherwise would have been a very narrow Borgo d'Ognissanti street. Sometimes less is indeed more!

Piazza Ognissanti is a large public square. It's a 13th century construction, and it was meant to cater for those attending the nearby church of the same name. It does not appear to have much on it, there is no greenery, trees or anything like that, we could not even find a seat. I suppose it is probably only for special events.
