This is a great area to come and experience. It is full of food shops, statutes and other things. We came on a tour to learn about the area. There are a lot of statues and it is necessary to learn about as many as possible to appreciate them. I would recommend definitely taking the time to come here and... More

We had to sit on the Piazza for one afternoon, come on we're in Italy. The problem was it was January and cold. We braved it anyway and it was worth it. Eating and drinking among history. Wow, it's hard to describe.

One of the most beautiful places of the city, it's located in the inner part of the centre not afar from the arno river, from here takes few seconds to go to the uffizi gallery or ponte vecchio. Here you can visit the old palace, take a coffe in the cafe rivoire or simply admire the complex compoused by the... More

This is a good place to meet and watch people, relax, picnic, or just hangout. The statue and buildings are beautiful to see and photograph.

This stunning place is a 'must see'. You can enjoy watching while walking or dining. I went day and night and it is spectacular. Not many cities in the world offer this kind of stunning and free attraction.

Nice plaza where you can see the other David sculpture for free (it is a bit dirty). Restaurants and stores in the area.

A beautiful piazza mostly crowded but with a pleasant vibe in the air. Huge open space close to the Palazzo Vecchio with lots of magnificent sculptures all around it. We spent some time here overlooking and studying our maps and guides we had along but also watching the people go by. When the weather is good it is nice and... More

We enjoyed looking at all the statues in the Plaza. Lots of fotos to take and loads of history. Also a nice place to have a drink in one of the local bars and chill. Lots of people standing around and a great atmosphere. Something everyone can enjoy

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
