Lorenzo took our family of 3 on an unforgettable hike in Penzano (Chianti region). We couldn’t have asked for a more kind, thorough and attentive guide. He was quite knowledgeable of the region, and all the local flora. We even tasted a few herbs and berries along the way. Happening upon some olive pickers, Lorenzo explained the harvesting process and coordinated us observing on the spot. The 2 smaller wineries we visited were our favorites- so hospitable and a home cooked meal! Not to mention outstanding wine! Do yourself a favor,and book this tour! Grazie mille, Lorenzo for a fabulous day!

We booked a tour with Alessandro for a corporate event. Alessandro was the best and most accommodating guide we could ask for, from the first email to all other subsequent requests (and we had a lot of amendments), he was responsive and nailed everything! He created a special tour just for our group to give us exactly what we were asking for. We combined a gravel and road tour, asked for a high quality winery for lunch, he added in a coffee pit stop at the requested time. We did 40km in total and he was patient with everyone in our group of 8. The photos that were taken were fantastic! Well worth booking your Tuscan bike tour with Alessandro and his team. Our group could not stop raving about it.

Stefano is absolutely wonderful! This is my 2nd time doing the wine trek and my sisters 1st time. This is the highlight of our trip! Out of the box Florence is amazing and I highly recommend people doing this tour amongst his other tours! From the views, the wineries, the people are just amazing! Stefano is also so funny and super knowledgeable of the area and makes the time so memorable! We can’t wait to come back!!

My family of 11 did a full day Cinque Terra tour from Tuscany with Stefano. There were 6 adults and 5 children and he made the trip memorable for all of us. From the pickup to the drop off Stefano and his other driver Jonnie were very courteous and professional. We were able to see all 5 cities by train and boat plus he also set up a wonderful lunch for us. Stefano took care of everything all we had to do was follow him. Plus on the way back to Tuscany Stefano stopped at Pisa so everyone could see the leaning tower. I would highly recommend Stefano for the Cinque Terra trip plus any other tours in Tuscany and Florence that he does.

We did hire Stefano as a private guide to take me and my daughter to explore Tuscany country side. We spent 5 days in Florence and it was perfect break to leave the hot city and spend it with a hot and hysterically funny Italian guide The Stefano. Two full days exploring Tuscany Hills were worth every penny. tons of fantastic memories and laughter. I would highly recommend his services. We are already planning another trip to Italy and Stefano will be part of it for sure.

This may have been the best time we had in two weeks in Italy, and I highly recommend this for active couples that enjoy the countryside, wine, and good company. Our guide, Massi, was a charming man with excellent English, infinite patience, and a passion for the Chianti Valley. He is also an forager and historian, with knowledge of both the plants along the trail and the impacts of Rome and war to the beautiful land. The three wineries we visited were diverse, and each had a wonderful host full of stories and vision. It was a great day in Tuscany -- if you are able, contact Stefano to make it happen!

Just a beautiful experience walking through the hills of Fiesole away from the crowds and heat of Firenze. The guide, Stefano was very nice and knowledgeable about the Etruscan and Roman history of the area and there were interesting paths, amazing view and stone quarries to see. It was really so nice to be up in the peaceful, cool hills in nature just trekking. Stefano was also very patient on the trek with me and we took our time. Lastly, he also arranged for a lovely lunch at an agroturismo restaurant. The food was very freshly cooked and flavorful. A great day and a wonderful guide.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Out of the Box Florence and our tour of Chianti area wineries and San Gimignano. Stefano arranged for us to have a (customized) private tour of two wineries- Querceto di Catstellina (with an amazing lunch) and Tenute Casenuove (beautiful estate winery and tour). When many other tour guides could not accommodate, Stefano went out of his way to find a way for us to visit beautiful Tuscany with a private guide. He was beyond accommodating to all of our requests and asked about food allergies without prompting. Our tour guide was Johnny who was prompt, polite, knowledgable and made sure our day was truly memorable. Communication throughout the process was outstanding and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. I would not hesitate to book with Out of the Box Florence- One of our favorite tours of the trip!

Stefano took 4 of us on a fantastic hike through the Florence hills in April (late posting I know)! It was exhilarating to see Florence from the hills and after touring Italy, a great way to use our bodies for something other than eating and drinking. The only downside is once we were back in Florence, the city felt crowded and loud and I was ready to head back to the hills. Stefano is a great guide who pulled out some surprises along the way. I highly recommend this tour as a way to see Florence from a new viewpoint!

Great hike through beautiful forested hills on the outskirts of Florence. Had a great five mile hike with fabulous host. Stefano was wonderful and knowledgeable about the history, geography and ecology of the region. Some of the most spectacular views of Florence and region just a short drive from city center up above Fiesole. He went out of his way to gather snacks for a group of four including a vegan selection of treats. Oh and we went to the place where Leonardo had one of his interns try out a flying machine…
