Four of us scheduled a walking tour of Florence Duomo area followed by one of Uffizi Gallery with Alessandra. She was absolutely terrific. She shared her impressive knowledge of architecture, of Florence, and art always aiming to enhance our understanding. In the Uffizi which can be overwhelming , she expertly picked out key works to emphasize the style and period of the times, always making the information relevant and very exciting. She patiently and thoroughly answered our questions and we never felt rushed. All four of us believe the tour significantly enhanced our understanding and overall pleasure to our visit to Florence. A highlight!!

Alessandra possesses an incredible wealth of knowledge about the history of Florence. She has a great sense of humor and engages well on numerous topics. I strongly recommend taking any of her tours, as she has added a tremendous depth to our experience and understanding of our favorite city on earth.

Florence for one day from a cruise ship- Alessandra was perfect! She was recommended by personal friends and made a huge difference in our day. Our Priority was the sculpture of David as well as local food, not just tourist items. She arranged for tickets, reserved a nice lunch at the market with wine tasting, we visited sights in Florence, and enjoyed a history discussion as we accompanied her around this beautiful city. We are not history buffs but enjoyed her insights and stories as well as the fact that she knew the local merchants. Our memories of Firenze are wonderful because of her! Thanks so much Alessandra. It was really interesting and he was so generous to show us Florence through a local’s eyes. We have recommended Bernie over the years and he never disappoints.

Shortly after our arrival in Florence, we had a three hour Florence in a Nutshell tour. Our guide Elena was simply outstanding--a lovely person and full of information, especially as we toured the Accademia. She tailored the tour to our interests, and importantly, did not stick to a pre-planned script. She adapted the tour to our interests and questions. We even saw her the next day unexpectedly and she helped us through the line to climb the Duomo. We happily recommend both Florence Guides, and especially Elena, for future guests.

My wife and I contacted Florence Guides for a full day private tour and Alessandra came to our aid. She was very professional, knowledgeable and understanding to our wishes. It was very nice to have the one on one discussions about special pieces and the history surrounding them. This is very hard to do when in a large group. If and when we return we will definitely be reaching out to Alessandra and her team for some secrets of Italy!

We did a walking tour of Florence with Alessandra as our guide. The pace was easy for all in our group. We stopped frequently to hear specifics about the many interesting sights in Florence. In addition, Alessandra talked via the listening devices all while walking which made the walk even more intriguing. Alessandra has a passion for her city and especially for Michelangelo and The David! Her historical information and insight about the David and Michelangelo were THE best part of my trip! She speaks in perfect English and with a beautiful Italian accent:-) I highly recommend Alessandra as a Florence guide!

My friend and I have recently returned from our wonderful visit to Florence. This trip was made even more special by our tour guide, Alessandra, who along with her excellent English and knowledge of her subject made us really live and experience the history of Florence. We were given ideas of which restaurants and other attractions to visit to allow us to see the "real" culture and not just from a "tourists" point of view. We felt special and nothing was too much trouble for her. Now back in England we cannot wait to return and explore even more sights and sounds of this fabulous city.Thank you Alessandra.

Alessandra speaks excellent English and was very easy to understand.She made the visit very entertaining and had very good knowledge and knew her subject very well .She was very mindful of our special requirements and gave wonderful tips for our free time to experience local life in Florence, ie restaurants and places to visit and those to avoid.

My boyfriend and I spent 2 half days with Alessandra while visiting Florence. The first day, we did a museum tour of the Uffizi and also saw The David. The day went perfect. We wanted someone to efficiently guide us through the Uffizi with leave us at the David. Alessandra left us with a lunch suggestion (awesome lunch!) and some places to visit in the afternoon. The second half day we spent doing a walking tour of Florence. Again, everything was well done. We highly recommend!!
