It was neat getting to meet Leonardo in March 2014. He was quite the salesman, proud of his establishment and celebrity guests. He was also quite aggressive in selling us some shoes (think nice used car salesman). We had totally struck out trying to find anywhere else to buy locally made shoes so we tried some on here. After the... More

If you go to Florence, you MUST stop by here and buy a pair of shoes!!! The quality, dedication, and friendly atmosphere Leonardo and Alex created was something I will never forget. Everyone in my group bought a pair of shoes because these shoes are one in a million and quality you can find no where else.

Leonardo Shoes has an excellent multilingual staff who are very helpful and knowledgable about their product. They have an expansive inventory of shoes, bags jackets and boots for both women and men, and all made in Italy. This was my 3rd visit to Florence and first visit to this show store, but I will definately go back on my next... More

As a serial visitor to Florence, I have known about this store for a few years now, and bought my first pair of shoes there in 2013. Very satisfied with the style, comfort, and craftsmanship of those shoes, when I was back in Florence just recently I had to stop by for a visit. Of course, I found almost immediately... More

Knowledgeable multilingual sales staff and excellent service, high-quality shoes and boots as well as leather jackets. Made in Florence or in Leonardo's network of craftspeople throughout Tuscany.

The selection, styles, quality and prices of these shoes are remarkable. As others have written here the service is fantastic. I was particularly interested in custom made shoes for women. Women size 13 AA is impossible to find in the states. Leonardo measured precisely and I now have gorgeous Italian styled leather shoes and boots. They fit like nothing I've... More

We visited Leonardo Shoes this afternoon and had one of the best shopping experiences in a long time. The selection and quality of the shoes are excellent. The best part was the customer service. We had the good fortune to have the owner himself take care of us and make it so memorable. If you are in Florence and want... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
