Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a nice public square near Piazza San Marco and connected to Piazza della Duomo by way of Via dei Servi in the Historic Centre of Florence. You will find the impressive Basilica della SS Annunziata here along with several historic palaces, hospital and museum of the Innocents, National Archaeological Museum along with a pair of impressive Mannerism fountains and equestrian statue of Ferninando I. Plenty of eateries, gelato shops and other interesting places to visit in and around the square as well.

Lovely square near Basilica della Santissima Annunziata. One of the few public squares in Firenze that is never overcrowded.

Beautiful area to simply walk through and admire the works of art. The statues are detailed as well as the fountain.

Such a lovely piazza with the bronze Equestrian statue of Ferdinando and two fountains in the center. The church of della Santissima Annunziata and Ospedale degli Innocenti are the most notable sights on the square, which looked very atmospheric and a bit sad on a rainy day in December.

This is a wonderful building, probably one of the oldest orphanage in the world and the museum has beautiful works of arts (as any building in Florence frankly) but they also provide great exhibitions like the current one on Escher. The best thing is that this place is much quieter than anything else…such a privilege!

This is a decent little square, not far from San Marco square.
The square features a basilica, a museum, a fountain and a lovely statue.

This plaza was not as busy as some , and away from the usual tourist areas of Florence and quite interesting with its historic building and church , the main feature the bronze statue of Fernando I de Medici, the Grand Duke of Tuscany from 1587.

Piazza della Santissima Annunziata is not as crowded as other city areas. There are not many attractions like others.

This is a vibrant square located just far off the tourist track to give it a feeling of authenticity and local flavor. The equestrian statue of Ferdinando I at its center is impressive as are the buildings that surround the square such as the Archaeological Museum which was built for a Medici family member in 1620, the imposing Basilica of the Most Holy Annunciation and the Ospedale degli Innocenti which dates back to 1419.

Nothing special to see here apart from a few buildings - move on to some more interesting piazzas, there are plenty better than this!
