Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a really great Hotel.
The Palazzo is huge and marvellous.
The sculpture garden is amazing and beautiful.
The service is professional but also very friendly.
My only criticism is the wine list. It is missing many really good Italian wines which normally attract quite reasonable prices. My wife loves pinot Grigio and there was only one wine on the menu ( which was quite extraordinary Ferus-??)
But Overall we certainly recommend this great Hotel

Earlier in the year I came here to go to the salon and spa.
The salon was small and quiet. My hairdresser spoke in a mixture of english, french, and italian, which was very charming. He managed to get the color of my hair the exact shade I had wanted, which is actually an amazing feat!
Afterwards I had a massage in the spa. I felt totally relaxed and at ease. The lounge had water and small snacks that you could eat while reclining on adorable daybeds.
Overall it's one of the best experiences I've had in Florence.

We had a spritz in the bar before lunch, in a beautiful spot. The hotel lobby has the most beautiful flowers! We then had lunch near the pool and had their special for the day. A perfect amount of food, with three different things in smaller portions than ordering separately. Reasonably priced for a five star hotel.

I loved this hotel and everything about it. I have to say my visit to the spa was simply average. However, I'm rating it average among other similar resort hotels. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't anything special. The massage itself was comfortable but the masseuse seemed afraid or unable to use a lot of pressure. Perhaps I should have requested deep tissue for a firmer massage? The facilities were neat and clean. Perhaps the after shower grooming amenities were a bit thin.

It has taken me months to write this review as the property is beautiful and the staff very professional but I will never visit again. We booked a seven night stay and were not told that there was a large wedding that would take over the entire convent building during the booking process. There was loud construction and trucks everywhere and we were constantly rerouted as not to disturb the various events. The evening of the wedding it was rainy when we attempted to cross through the convent building we were stopped by aggressive private security. They forced us to walk outside in the heavy rain all the way around to the other entrance. It was insulting and inconceivable to me as to why this hotel would allow private security to treat guests in this manner. Our complaints led to a card and a bottle of proseco . The next day our travel agent phoned them and we received another half hearted apology.
In the future if you only value the clients booking the expensive wedding then force them to take over the entire hotel. It was unfair of this five star hotel to have inconvenienced us and have expected us to "understand".

Decided to treat myself to a manicure at the spa. Entering the hotel lobby, I askedfor directions to the spa and they drove me in a golfcart to it. The staff greeted me promptly and introduced me to the manicurist. She led me upstairs to a private room overlooking the gardens. She invited me to lie down on a bedand proceeded with the manicure. I had never had one lying down before! I almost nodded off, I was so comfortable! What a wonderful relaxing time! I would do it again.

Visited with family July 2015 and what an amazing location and property. The rooms were unbelievable..the property had something for everyone. Spa, ping pong, bar, gym, pool etc.. and the concierge could not have been more perfect!! The Peach Bellini was amazing if you sit out on patio in the evening and listen to piano player. Cant imagine staying anywhere else when in Firenze

A place like no other in Europe , Class and an Architectural marvel,
with a service unlike any other Four seasons in Europe .
All rooms are great and a butler service like non , the concierge as knowledge and depth of experience to tailor make all you needs, and not just a restaurant booking . The Food is great , drinks are expensive, the Gym and Spa are among the best in Italy . Its service , service, service all the way .

I visited the Spa at the Four Seasons hotel in Florence and had the best experience. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Lucia, the Spa Manager. She gave me a tour of the spa and educated me on their exclusive Rephase face product line. She had a thorough knowledge of the full line and had the quick insight to my needs. I was able to test some products and later could see a difference in my face and neck. She spent her time with me and was passionate with taking care of my needs. She exuded professionalism, class, and warmth. Going to the Four Seasons Spa in Florence takes your guest experience to a higher level.
