The Accidental Tourist was born in the spring of 1998 offering the first single-day hands-on cooking class in Tuscany. We welcome the curious and open-minded traveler in the heart of our Tuscan homes, for an authentic yet magical experience. We take a maximum of 8 people, but will go with as few as one: we never leave the solo traveler behind. We welcome families with children as we know how challenging it can be to travel with the young ones in the Old Country. AND, we charge for our tours only if our guests are happy to pay for their day with us.

A bit late on the review, but a great experience -- again. Visited a few years back in 2012, came again in 2016 with our daughter and her friend after they graduated from high school. Terrific day, with a wine tasting following -- tried Vin Santo for the first time - what a treat. A day away from the monuments... More

Our travel guide, Steve, was amazing. He was super friendly and so knowledgeable about not only the tour, but all about Italy! My boyfriend and I went on the Wine + Cook tour on our first full day here. It was an amazing way to start our trip. Pickup and dropoff was super convenient. The wineries were quaint and the... In a two week trip to four cities in Italy, this was hands down our favorite day. We did the wine tour and cooking class, a combo I highly recommend. Our small group of just four people made the experience felt more like a private tour. We were driven through the countryside to a stunning villa where we learned about... More

My husband and I did the wine and olive oil tour. It was absolutely amazing! We stopped at a bakery and picked up fresh bread, which we later dipped into the fresh olive oil! The wines were amazing and it really was just the best day ever. We traveled thru the cypress forest which was just stunning. If you are... More

All I can say is Excellent.. the authentic meal that you helped prepare is worth the price and the view is something like you see in a movie.. the Host is impeccable. Based on a recommendation from a friend, I booked our group of 10 for the Wine and Pasta Cooking Lesson Tour. We were picked up at our hotel at 9:30 in the morning and from that point forward a simply incredible day progressed from there. The passion of the wine maker, the skill of the host chef, the love of... More

We more than enjoyed our cooking class with Accidental Tourist... it was a definite highlight of our trip. From the gorgeous home that Majla and her husband opened up for the class to the actual group we had, my friend and I didn't want the day to end. We learned a lot about cooking pasta and about the history of... More

This cooking class was a highlight of our European vacation. We were picked up by our host and driven to her beautiful home. It was a historical drive learning about the history of the area and enjoying all the views. Our group of 8 started right away with making pasta. We learned about ricotta, wheat, how to chop spinach, all... More
