We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Porta San Pietro is one of some gates located in the wall of Lucca, a Renaissance city in Tuscany Region, in Italy. It is a big and nice gate and in the outer part, there is a park. Beautiful, better the old town.

The walled city of Lucca has many gates through which you can enter set into the beautifully maintained city walls. You can walk completely around Lucca on these tree lined walls with fabulous views of the city ans surrounding countryside.

Porta San Pietro is the entry gate to the walled city of Lucca nearest to the train station. Cars can enter through this gate. The walls of the medieval city are expansive and tree lined. It makes a beautiful setting as you enter the city.

We parked at Parking Carducci. there were plenty of spaces and also covered areas where you could get your car out of the sun. it was a short walk to Porta San Pietro which is a great way to enter Lucca.

Great way to enter the magical city of Lucca. Driving thru this three arched structure , you enter the medieval city. The wall and gates are from the 16th Renaissance century.. It is an entrance into the living past.

One of the gates to enter the beautiful city of Lucca. Nearby walk up the street ramp to the street which encircles the ancient city.

You can tell it is old at first glance. It's nice to walk around and let the Lucca legacy reach out to you but let it just whet your appetite for what is to come.

We just managed to find a parking spot near the Gates of St Peter. The three-arched structure dates back to the 16th century when the city walls were erected. The central entrance is used for car traffic although it it the ZTL boundry.

If you arrive in Lucca via train then this is your gateway into the town. An interesting piece of history with several statues nearby. You can also climb up to the walls to walk around the city here.

It is one of the entrance gates to access the historic center of Lucca and the one closest to those arriving by train. The structure didn't impress me much.
